Linda Hibbard, Founder & Director

About Linda

Linda brings over 30 years of experience in early childhood education and a lifelong dedication to helping children explore, learn, and thrive. She is passionate about creating warm, engaging classrooms where children grow through play, exploration, and meaningful relationships. Linda founded Early Discoveries to provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment that honors the whole child.

Her philosophy centers on creating classrooms where children feel valued, confident, and curious. She believes the early years are critical for lifelong learning and is committed to supporting both children and families every step of the way.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies (University of Washington)
Master of Education (Eastern Washington University)
Master of Elementary Education (Western Governors University)

Linda is also a certified teacher in the state of Washington, focusing on early childhood and elementary education.

Experience & Leadership

Throughout her career, Linda has taught in classrooms, directed programs, mentored fellow educators, and partnered closely with families. At Early Discoveries, her vision is reflected in every aspect of the program: classrooms are nurturing yet challenging, educators are supported and valued, and children are encouraged to explore, question, and grow. She works closely with her team to create an environment where educators can thrive, families feel supported, and children are empowered to reach their full potential.

A Personal Touch

Outside of Early Discoveries, Linda enjoys reading, spending time with family, exploring nature, and finding creative ways to bring learning to life for children of all ages. Her lifelong dedication to education fuels the heart of the program every day.
